Privacy by architectural default.
At Aaron Tech Consultants, Inc., we believe the simplest way to protect user data is to avoid collecting it in the first place.
1. Website Operations
This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit parlorwave.com:
- We do not set third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We do not embed tracking pixels, social media ad beacons, or session recording scripts.
- Standard web server connection logs (such as IP address, user-agent string, and requested URLs) are processed transiently by Cloudflare to ensure security, mitigate abuse, and deliver static assets.
2. Inquiries and Communications
The contact form on this site prepares an email draft in your device’s default email application. The information you enter is not transmitted to ParlorWave by the website itself. We receive your name, reply address, inquiry category, and message only if you choose to send that email. Messages sent to [email protected] are handled and retained as ordinary business email correspondence.
We do not store form submissions in an online marketing database, and we do not sell, rent, or trade contact information to data brokers or advertisers.
3. ParlorWave Radio Software Architecture
ParlorWave Radio is self-hosted software that runs inside your own Home Assistant OS environment alongside Music Assistant:
Self-Hosted Execution: The ParlorWave Radio app (add-on) and custom integration run on your Home Assistant OS machine and do not phone home or transmit telemetry to Aaron Tech Consultants, Inc.
Voice Selection & Local Speech: When configured with the built-in deterministic writer and a local Home Assistant TTS voice (such as local Piper), break writing and speech synthesis execute on your own network. If you haven’t chosen a voice in Booth, ParlorWave uses the first available Home Assistant tts.* entity in alphabetical order, which may be a cloud voice such as Home Assistant Cloud or Google Translate if configured in your Home Assistant instance. Choose a local voice such as Piper in Booth to keep speech on your network.
User-Configured External Services: If you configure RSS news bulletin feeds, a cloud TTS voice, a Chatterbox-compatible voice engine, or an optional Ollama writing model, your Home Assistant instance communicates directly with those endpoints. An optional writing model you configure receives each break’s context (track names, weather, and calendar titles).
Custom Voice Consent & Storage: If you use the optional custom voice feature in Booth with a user-run voice engine, reference audio recordings and explicit spoken permission metadata are stored in your local app data directory until you delete them or uninstall the app.
